Documenting verified cases.
Defending due process.
The Cry Wolf Registry is a national accountability initiative documenting verified cases of intentionally false allegations. We publish evidence-based records, promote transparency, and advance meaningful legal reform in service of fairness for all.
Accountability through documented, evidence-based reporting.
The Cry Wolf Registry exists to promote accountability through documented, evidence-based reporting of verified false allegations. We believe that intentionally false allegations cause lasting harm to innocent individuals, erode confidence in legitimate victims, and undermine public trust in the justice system.
By documenting verified cases, promoting education, and encouraging meaningful reform, we seek to strengthen due process while supporting truth, transparency, and accountability across the American legal landscape.
Recently verified documentation
A selection of publicly available records recently added to the Registry. Each entry includes verified court filings, supporting evidence, and public source documentation.
Family Court — Custody
A contested custody proceeding in which allegations were formally recanted under oath and subsequently adjudicated as knowingly false by the presiding court. Documentation includes the recantation transcript, forensic examiner's report, and the court's written findings.
Criminal — Wrongful Report
Criminal complaint later determined by law enforcement investigation and prosecutorial review to have been fabricated. The complainant was subsequently charged with filing a false report.
Workplace Complaint
Internal workplace complaint substantiated by external investigation to be materially false. Independent counsel's report was made public in redacted form as part of a settlement disclosure.
Six principles that guide every record we publish.
Truth
Every claim should be supported by objective evidence whenever possible.
Accountability
Intentional deception that causes harm should carry meaningful consequences.
Due Process
Every individual deserves fairness, impartiality, and equal protection under the law.
Transparency
Public trust depends on accurate information and responsible reporting.
Integrity
Facts take precedence over speculation and personal opinion.
Respect
Constructive dialogue strengthens understanding and meaningful reform.
